All American Chili

Servings: 10


1 pound ground beef
1 cup chopped onion
1 cup chipped green pepper
1 15½ oz. can red kidney beans
28 oz. of can tomatoes; cut up
1-1½ tablespoons chili powder
2 teaspoons salt


In Dutch oven cook beef, onion, green pepper until meat is browned and vegetables are tender. Stir to break up chunks of meat. Drain kidney beans, reserving liquid. Add beans and remaining ingredients. Cover; simmer 1-1½ hours. If desired, stir in some reserved bean liquid to make desired consistency
